When you share something

If you email a contribution, we use your message and email address to review it, contact you if needed, and manage anything that is published.

Your email address and private correspondence are not published. If anything is unclear about permission, credit or how something may be shared, we’ll contact you before publishing it.

You can ask us to correct your information, withdraw something that has not yet been published, or remove a contribution from the website. Copies already sent in a newsletter cannot be recalled.

Newsletter and attendance

Joining the newsletter is a separate, voluntary choice. Buttondown handles newsletter subscriptions and unsubscribe requests.

Sending a contribution or attending a gathering does not add you to the newsletter.

If an event uses an external RSVP or booking service, that service handles the information you give it under its own privacy terms.

How the website works

The website itself does not use advertising or analytics. External links may take you to other services, which have their own privacy policies.

Keeping information

We keep submission correspondence for as long as it is reasonably needed to review, publish or manage a contribution.

You can contact us to ask about the personal information we hold about you, or to request that it is corrected or deleted.
